Publication Ethics
The LJACS journal adheres to the highest standards of scientific publishing and bases its procedures on the recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) to ensure the integrity of published research:
"The LJACS complies with the recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) to promote the integrity of its published articles."
The journal rigorously addresses the following ethical considerations during the peer review and publication process:
1. Originality and Plagiarism
The journal maintains a zero-tolerance policy for any form of plagiarism or duplicate publication. All submitted manuscripts are scanned using Turnitin® before submission:
"The LJACS scans all submitted manuscripts before the peer review process using Turnitin®. The LJACS is zero-tolerant to plagiarism, self-plagiarism, copyright infringement, duplicate publication, text recycling, and salami slicing."
Action in Case of Violation: If any manipulation is discovered after publication, the research will be officially retracted, and this will be announced on the journal's website.
The responsible author must confirm that the research has not been previously published or submitted to any other entity for circulation.
2. Research Misconduct:
The LJACS editorial team makes every effort to combat data falsification, manipulation, and fabrication. In cases of suspected misconduct, the editors will act in accordance with the COPE guidelines:
"The LJACS editorial team strives to counter any possibility for data fabrication, manipulation, and falsification. In case of suspected misconduct, the LJACS editors will act in accordance with the COPE guidelines."
3. Authorship & Acknowledgements
The title of "author" is reserved for those who have made a substantial contribution to the study (design, implementation, analysis, or drafting and revision of the manuscript).
Contributions should be listed in the "Authors' Contributions" section.
The lead author is required to obtain the consent of all contributors to the final manuscript.
Individuals who provided assistance that does not qualify them as authors will be listed in the "Acknowledgements" section at the end of the manuscript, after obtaining their consent.
4. Conflicts of Interest & Financial Funding
The LJACS requires researchers to submit a clear statement disclosing any potential conflicts of interest, clearly stating funding sources and their roles, as well as grant amounts, if applicable:
"The LJACS asks the author(s) to provide a clear statement declaring any potential conflict of interest. Sources of funding should be listed and their role(s) should be clearly stated." 5. Image Manipulation
LJACS requires minimal digital image processing. Image manipulation, cropping, or any alteration of submitted image details is strictly prohibited.
5. Correction Notices
If an error is discovered in a published manuscript, the author may submit a correction request to the journal's editor. The request should include full details (journal name, year of publication, volume, issue, page numbers), a precise description of the error, and its exact wording, or a rewording if the error is lengthy.
Best of luck to your journal, LJACS, in its academic endeavours! If you require a full translation of the edited English text or the rewriting of other sections, I am here to help.
